A Fitting Activity for These Snowy Days

Create your own snowflake, here is one I created a few
minutes ago. Enjoy this little fun activity with
friends and family.

So What I Want for Christmas

So this is what is on the top of my children's Christmas list. Remember they are two girls age 7 & 9.

Kristin (the 7 year old) wants a really sharp pocketknife, and it has to be very sharp... Britt (the 9 year old) wants a bow and arrow.

What happened with my little girls.

When I spoke with my mother in law she laughed and said she would get right on that..

I was on the phone with my father and he thinks that every little girl needs a knife and asked me to make the purchase to fulfill their wishes. Now and I have to add, this is the guy that almost cut his finger of about a month ago.

First Snowfall of the season

I think.. and it was a big one. The northeastern is one that made the record books. I believe we got about 15 inches in about 24 hours.

You live and learn and today I learned that I always have to check my settings on the camera before shooting. Last time I used it it was under very different circumstances and completely different settings..

Our house

The neighbor's house

Love the tree in the front yard

Britt is feeling under the weather and probably could not have picked a worse day to be sick.

Kristin loving the snow, and who cares about hat and gloves..

Our neighbor Tom, helping plowing our sidewalk and then let me use his snow blower to clean the drive way. So much better on my back.

Are they expecting a snow storm??

Britt was smart enough to get out of the way, but Kristin wanted to to stay in the line of fire, or should I say snow.

Luminary Night

So the day of Coopertown Civic Associations Luminary Night is finally here, The kids are excited and can't wait for the party to start. We were somewhat lucky with the weather, cold but sunny.

Kristin had made an elf hat with a friend of hers yesterday

Brian was off work this year and able to help out with the luminaries

Kristin showing off her teeth or lack of teeth

The little girl across the street

She is not sure what is more important, the luminaries or her little doll

Kaya and Britt, playing on the ice waiting for us to leave

As Kristin said "those horses are the biggest horses I have ever seen"

The time has come

All aboard

This T-shirt says it all

Now a few luminary photos

As my husband said "when all other light burn out..... (you fill out the rest)

Maura Jane - Day 8th

I stopped by their house the other day to capture some more precious images of Maura Jane.

She is just adorable, and not further comments are necessary

A few Christmas shots were required at this time of the year

On request of Daddy

Assembly of the Luminary Kits

So it is almost time for our annual luminary night with carriage ride through the neighborhood, that means that it is also time for the luminaries to be assembled. We met at a Coopertown neighbors house on Sunday for a little assembly party.

10 candles, 10 white bags and some sand, and the bag is assembled.

Now only another 300 bags to go and we will be all done

With some teamwork, it goes a lot faster

The sand men

Not to little or not to much

Union break

Hot chocolate for everybody

Making sure that every bag is accounted for

Big and small giving a helping hand

Then it is time for Pizza

The girls enjoying lunch

The first snow arrived the day before and there was a little time for a snowball fight.

Maura Jane - 1 Day Old

So Maura Jane decided to wait till after Thanksgiving to arrive. I think she should have waited another 2 days, so I could have won the 50/50 that I entered at the baby shower. One of the girls were spot on, the right date, sex, and weight, good for her.

On November 30th I dropped by the hospital to see little baby Maura Jane.

The newborns are so angelic. The only problem is that it does not last all that long!!

A Little memorabilia.

Maura came from the Nursery with a little bow.

Having seen a lot of newborns, I can honestly say that she looks beautiful and arrived with a perfect shaped head..

The one eyed bandit

She arrived just in time to receive her first Christmas ornament.

The only photo I could get with her eyes open.
